Michele Jaeger had been running retail stores since 2005, starting with the original Tickled Pink in Port Townsend, Washington. Spending so many years in the retail business, she realized that there were not enough places to buy branded local apparel. She wanted to create a brand that was dedicated to the unique community of the Pacific Northwest and our beautiful region. When the lockdowns of 2020 happened, Michelle decided it was the perfect time to get her dream off the ground. She opened her wholesale company Direction Apparel in May 2020 in a warehouse on Burnham Drive. The business soon had a faithful following and was able to open their retail shop in July 2023.

Direction Apparel is a fashion retailer that understands that our local community has a special love and loyalty for the Pacific Northwest and its culture. Their high-quality, creative hats, hoodies, beanies, bags, keychains, patches, shirts, and stickers are branded with local sayings, locations, and symbols that let you show your PNW love and get outside in style. Direction Apparel is all designed and produced right here in Gig Harbor.

Direction Apparel partners with another local company, Stickers Northwest Inc., and makes all of the apparel for their designs such as the popular PNW arrows and Constellation Sasquatch. Though Direction Apparel mostly carries their own product, they support a collection of other local vendors and artists in their store. Direction Apparel takes pride in donating apparel and gear to multiple local charities.
