Neighborhood Tour: Whitley Hills

Today we are exploring the Whitley Hills neighborhood within the Artondale area of Gig Harbor, Washington.

Whitley Hills is known for epic trick or treating and Santa Claus visits. It’s walkable and it’s friendly. It’s a really great community and a super established neighborhood.

Most of the homes were built in the nineties. You’ll see original cedar shake roofs that are really well maintained. Half of the neighborhood has an HOA, Whitley Hills HOA, and the other half is called Madrona and there is no HOA on that side. So you can be in a really established neighborhood but it offers something for everyone by having the choice of an HOA or not.

Price ranges, depending on how many updates have been made, are going to be somewhere between $750,000 up to about $1.1 to $1.2 million. The homes have great big backyards. Depending on the exposure, you could have a really sunny flat backyard, and those are some of the elements that people will trade for—they’ll give up one of the newer, more modern homes for a house that was built in the nineties, and they’ll go through and update it in order to have that awesome lot.
