Presented by your very own Neighborhood Experts Real Estate, don’t miss a day full of fun with a Local Makers Market, pumpkin launcher, food trucks, a chance to vote for your favorite scarecrow, and other entertainment. There’s no charge to attend, but please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to contribute to the food drive. Also, parking will be limited so carpooling is recommended, or if you park at Gig Harbor High School (5101 Rosedale Street NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335) a shuttle will be provided. Learn about the history of farming on the Key Peninsula during this interactive tour of various locations throughout the area. You’ll have a chance to talk to Master Gardeners, try your hand at a cider squeeze, listen to live music, ride horses and ponies, watch horse vaulting demonstrations, tour a fish hatchery, eat a pancake breakfast at the fire station, observe a live fire demonstration, play games and participate in crafts, walk in a haunted forest, enjoy wine and coffee tasting, visit a goat farm, see art demonstrations and displays as part of the Fiber Arts Festival, and more (some activities are only offered on one of the days). Gig Harbor Yacht Club Junior Sail Dinner and Auction

This annual event raises funds for the Junior Sail program and provides necessary boats, equipment, and even scholarships. The online auction begins on Friday, September 30th and runs through October 7th, when they will be hosting a live auction at the dinner. Press cider, take a hayride, tour the Meeker Mansion, visit the Hard Cider Garden, enjoy live bluegrass music, pick out fall decorations at the Pumpkin Booth, browse the vendor booths, and more. Canterwood Charity Classic Golf Tournament

Play for a good cause! This year’s tournament will benefit the Behind the Badge Foundation, which provides support to families and communities of law enforcement officers killed or seriously injured in the line of duty, as well as Canterwood’s Employee Care Foundation, which offers financial assistance to employees during times of need. The setup of the tournament will be a four-person scramble, and registration includes breakfast, lunch, a cocktail hour after the game, greens fees, a cart, and range balls. Step back in time and witness moments from history during this yearly tradition at Fort Nisqually.
