Redline Athletics Gig Harbor is owned by Val and Shelley Manada and Collene and John Wright. Val played college football at Northern Michigan University and is currently working as an educator in the Central Kitsap School District. Shelley was formerly an educator in Chicago and is currently a real estate broker with RE/MAX Exclusive in Gig Harbor. Collene is a College Recruiter for Grand Canyon University and John is the Director of Fields for the Seattle Seahawks. Though they come from different backgrounds, they share a common mission: to make a positive impact on the youth in our community through athletics and education. The Manadas and the Wrights opened Redline Athletics in April 2021 to help kids of all abilities gain confidence both mentally and physically through athletic training.
Redline Athletics Gig Harbor is the only local gym that caters specifically to athletic development for kids ages 4-18. The sports performance facility provides sessions that are taught from a whole-athlete approach. These sessions train kids in speed, agility, strength, and conditioning that result in better on-field performance and injury prevention. Redline Athletics has a wide selection of offerings including Basketball Skills Training Academy, sports-specific clinics, summer day camps, team training, and individual training. The facility is available to rent for birthday parties, events, and more. Redline Athletics trainers are skilled at connecting with kids while pushing them to be their best and creating an optimal growth zone for improved performance.
The Manadas and Wrights focus most of their giving to local schools through VPO and PTA auctions and scholarship fund donations and by participating in school events. They continue to take part in a networking group that Shelley created in 2016 with fellow Washington business owners that encourages growth and improvement through collaborative relationships that uplift Gig Harbor. Redline Athletics has begun to integrate with local sports teams to help elevate their programs by allowing teams to concentrate on coaching while Redline Athletics focuses on athletic training.
