Gig Harbor Wine Co.

Let Gig Harbor's top real estate agent, Paige Schulte, walk you through town and introduce you to the small business owners of Gig Harbor. Gig Harbor boasts a vibrant downtown scene lined with local business owners along with delicious eats from Uptown to Downtown Gig Harbor.

Both Robin and Ben Egeland hold full time jobs—Robin as an Operations Manager at Amazon Web Services and Ben as a Project Manager at Orca Pacific—but their passion is the wine industry. The couple, who first became friends in college and later married in 2020, shared a dream of starting their own label. The self-proclaimed “partners in wine” delight in living in the moment, meeting new people, and enjoying all things wine. So, putting their keen business acumen to work, they launched Gig Harbor Wine Co. online in 2021. Following its success, the Egelands opened a tasting room in late 2023.

Ben and Robin work with brilliant winemaker Aryn Morell to create high-quality wines that not only have elegant taste but that also bring people together by telling a story. As a nod to the beauty and history of Robin’s hometown, the Egelands and Aryn have mindfully crafted each varietal as a tribute to Gig Harbor and its rich past starting with the names: Rooster Race Rosé, Holly King Sauvignon Blanc, Netshed Red Blend, Silver Glide Syrah, and Sturdy Gertie Cabernet Sauvignon. With the mindset that it is not solely about the wine, but also about the people we meet along the way, each label highlights interesting local stories, historical events, places, and families. Gig Harbor Wine Co. evokes small town vibes and expertly pairs them with the big, bold, flavor of the Columbia Valley.

Robin and Ben are active participants in Gig Harbor events including the Autumn Sip & Stroll, Local Makers, and History Rocks at the Harbor History Museum. They collaborate with local business owners and donate wines to special auctions and nonprofit events.
