R STORIE
Let Gig Harbor's top real estate agent, Paige Schulte, walk you through town and introduce you to the small business owners of Gig Harbor. Gig Harbor boasts a vibrant downtown scene lined with local business owners along with delicious eats from Uptown to Downtown Gig Harbor.
When most girls her age were getting babysitting jobs, Gig Harbor native Rachel Peirce landed a job at Nordstrom at the young age of 14. She continued to work part time and seasonally all the way through high school and while attending Washington State University where she earned a degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting. She started her full-time career at Nordstrom where she held a variety of leadership roles including Women’s Apparel and Activewear Department Manager, Financial Planner, Women's Dress and Sportswear Buyer, Planning Manager, and Director of Multi-Channel Merchandise Planning in Women's Apparel. She also helped launch many well-known vertical brands like Madewell, Reformation, and Sezane. After years of building a full and successful career, the wife and mother of two was inspired to pursue her lifelong dream of owning her own store where she could bring fashion stories to life with visual storytelling.
In October 2022 the doors of R STORIE opened. Rachel has crafted an environment where people can have fun expressing themselves and exploring their own sense of fashion and style so they can look good and feel good about themselves for any occasion. The shelves of R STORIE are filled with unique, quality, and reputable brands that are on trend, stylish, and size inclusive. The majority of the product offering is new, but R STORIE carries some resale and vintage picks as well, making it truly unique.
R STORIE loves to collaborate with other small businesses and is proud to support local brands in a philanthropic way. The store hosts monthly events and parties that bring women together to socialize and shop. R STORIE donates to several Gig Harbor schools and charities.
