Neighborhoods In Gig Harbor - Artondale

Artondale is a hop, skip, and a jump from the movie theater, Ocean5’s bowling alley and arcade, and all the stores and restaurants uptown and downtown Gig Harbor have to offer. This centrally located neighborhood has a family feel with some great walking trails that are perfect to bring the kids and pup out for a run. Adam Tallman Trail is a favorite, with the Harbor Family Park a quick second behind that. Artondale has a namesake elementary school which has been totally renovated, and some students in the area also attend Discovery Elementary School. Middle schoolers will attend Kopachuck or Goodman and all the students in this community are within the Gig Harbor High School boundaries. Artondale is such a great place to call home. Let’s review a few of its neighborhoods!

Lexington

This is a small private and well-manicured gated community consisting of 25 homes on 67th Street Court NW. You are less than five minutes from Highway 16 at the Wollochet/City Center exit making this a coveted and convenient location. The community features a wide street with sidewalks, a trail around the neighborhood, and inviting green lawns in front of homes. The community has CC&Rs and an HOA. The homes were built from 2013 to 2017 by Garrette Custom Homes and are on lot sizes of approximately 5,000 - 7,000 square feet. The smallest home is 1,791 square feet and the largest is 3,678 square feet. Homes vary in bedroom and bath count from three bedrooms and two bathrooms to six bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. All are two stories, have two- or three-car garages, are on septic systems, and feature natural gas. HOA dues are currently just under $1,000 annually and go towards maintenance of the gate, common areas, and trails.

Canta Rana Estates

Right next to Artondale Elementary School, this neighborhood has four entrances and is bordered by the main artery 40th Street NW and the less busy 70th Avenue NW. All the homes sit on approximately a quarter acre of land and there are just over 100 homes in the neighborhood, with 90% of them built from 1977 to 1981. Homes vary in architectural style and size: half are single-level and half are two-story homes, with quite a few split levels sprinkled throughout. The smallest home in the neighborhood has an interior square footage of 1,248 and the largest stands at 2,884 square feet. The homes are on septic in this neighborhood and natural gas is available.

Chelsea Park

This coveted neighborhood is just off of Hunt Street with two entrances. It’s tucked in a wooded area of town and feels quiet and very well maintained. Chelsea Park was built by Hendrickson Construction and features larger homes and larger lot sizes, with a few cul-de-sacs. The community does have CC&Rs and the HOA dues are relatively low for a neighborhood like this, coming in at just under $500 annually. There are only a handful of one story homes. With streetlights, lawns, and pretty landscaping the streets are great for an easy stroll. The first home was built in 2007 and the last was completed in 2017. The homes are all generously sized, ranging from about 2,700 square feet to 5,400 square feet, and lot sizes range from .28 acres to .68 acres. The backyards are dazzling and almost all back up to a natural green space. The majority of backyards are sloped, and the few homes in the neighborhood with flat yards are like diamonds in Chelsea Park. These homes are all on septic and have natural gas.
