There’s no better way to beat the heat (or escape a few summertime showers!) than at one of our public outdoor or indoor swimming pools. With features like lazy rivers, heated whirlpools, water slides, pool rentals, and kid-friendly play structures, these pools offer family fun all summer long.

Founded and directed by Olympic medalist Amanda Beard, Beard Swim Co. has their own facility and offers a variety of options for classes and lessons.
Canterwood Golf & Country Club

You don’t have to be a resident to use Canterwood’s amazing amenities, but you will need to become a member of the club to gain access to their heated outdoor pool. Recreational swimming is offered at various hours so be sure to check the website for the schedule!

The YMCA has an indoor pool and aquatic center where they have options for lap swimming, open swim time, and classes. Be sure to look at the schedule for when each will be offered. You have the option of becoming a member of the Y for a monthly fee, or you can purchase a family day pass for $35!
Bainbridge Island Aquatic Center

This pool may be a bit of a drive, but it is well worth the adventure out to Bainbridge Island. The indoor facility has it all with two swimming pools, two diving boards, two waterslides, and a lazy river. You can find the schedule here. Daily, monthly, and family passes are available.

Right over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge is the heated outdoor Fircrest Pool in Tacoma. They offer season passes and pool punch cards. For registration information and the summer pool schedule check out their website.

If you want to travel a little further up to Silverdale, the Haselwood YMCA has a lazy river for you and your nuggets to play in, along with the usual pool and hot tub. You can become a member of the Y for a monthly fee, or a family day pass is available for $35.

Just a 15-minute drive from Gig Harbor, Kandle Park stands out from the rest with their outdoor wave pool, which will be opening July 5, 2022. Swimming lessons and lap swimming are also offered. See this page for hours and fees. The nearby sprayground is open 7 days a week from 10am to 8pm (days and hours change after September 5th).

Head over to Point Ruston’s Grand Plaza and Spray Park! According to their website it is on 7 days a week from 12pm to 10pm (unless there is a special event). And don’t miss the fountain light show that begins at dusk!
